Goodness knows I love cooking almost all kinds of meals. Years ago, I attempted to be vegan but it was not a good choice for my health (I had chronic anemia). I immediately switched back to eating meats and dairy but I still enjoy vegetarian/vegan meals from time to time. They make good additions to my regular meals (doctors advise me to add more pounds, which means I have to eat more). On top of that, I love making them! I have to be honest though, I cannot rely on my creativity to make good veggie meals. Well, cookbooks to the rescue!
A few months back I did a little experiment with some leftover veggies and tadaaa, this Barley Almond Salad recipe came up. That was the first time I ate barley (I know right?!) and despite I’m not a big fan of its flavor, this salad still came out good!
Without further ado, here it is!
As the title suggests, today I will be sharing a smoothie recipe! And it’s not just an ordinary smoothie, it’s a Power Smoothie! I call it power smoothie because it gives me a boost of energy. This smoothie is very versatile, you can drink it anytime you like. For me, it’s my go-to smoothie when I want a quick breakfast or when I feel hungry during the day. It also serves as a great pre and post-workout drink. When you drink this as a pre-workout, allow at least 30 minutes for your body to digest.
I’m not a huge tea drinker but lately I have been chugging teas (namely iced teas) like nobody’s business. Not sure why the sudden crave – Jakarta’s hot weather could be part of the reasons. Anyways, today I was in the mood of creating new cold drink and I came up with this Iced Jasmine Tea Lemonade recipe! It’s super simple and I’m sure you already have most ingredients stocked in your pantry and fridge.
